Deception

1Pe 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Who is your adversary? What can he do to destroy you? How can he devour you? There are many, many ways that our adversary tries to deceive us. He will use those who are closest to you to cause you to sin. He will use your family more than anyone else. This is how he operates. Nobody knows how to push our buttons more than those we love and are close to. Our husbands/wives and children are the ones used most often. These are not the only ones used by him. There are people we meet on the internet that satan uses to deceive. This study is about those people and how they are used by satan.

Eze 28:3 Behold, thou art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee:

One who is wiser than Daniel is the very one who deceives. We can hide no secret from him. How does he know the secret things that we do? He isn't omnipresent like God. He depends on spirits to bring him word of the things we do. He is wise and sets traps for us constantly. Many times, I have fallen myself into his trap. It is an easy thing to do. It's hard to get out of the trap once you fall in. You feel ashamed and guilt comes upon your soul. You won't tell anyone because of this guilt and shame. It's hard to even confess at times like this. So we carry the burden and hope nobody finds out.

Num 32:23 But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.

I'm using the last part of this scripture here. Indeed your sin will find you out. It will be made known if we do not confess and ask for forgiveness for it. I'm not casting stones at anyone. I myself have been to this place before. I don't want to go to it again. It's really hard to get away from this place. All the time you're there, satan laughs and torments you. He thinks it to be funny, because he has snared a child of God. This is why we must confess our faults to the Lord and to one another. This is why we must ask for forgiveness when we sin. Recently, MSN stopped offering free chat to anyone. In order to chat one must have a subscription to one of many MSN services offered. They said it was done because of pedophiles searching out children in chats. This is most likely true. Satan doesn't care who he hurts. A small child is as good as an adult to him. Satan only wants us to burn with him in the lake of fire. He's angry at God, and hates everything that God loves. This is merely one example of how he deceives.

Joh 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Satan is a liar and even the father of lies. When we tell a lie, we are doing exactly what satan wants us to do. We are following the "father" of the "world." Satan is also a murderer. He has been from the beginning. He will not change, just as God never changes. The same God who forgave me yesterday will forgive me today. His grace and mercy reach beyond and sin, heartache, illness and unclean spirits that will come against us.

Isa 9:12 The Syrians before, and the Philistines behind; and they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

Isa 9:17 Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

Isa 9:21 Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh: and they together shall be against Judah. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

Isa 10:4 Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

No matter what we do, His hand is stretched out still. Even in His anger, God will stretch out His hand. When we sin, we are to ask forgiveness. When we fall into one of Satan's traps, we are to ask forgiveness. The internet is so full of the traps of satan. There is so much lying and deceit that goes on in chats the it's pathetic. Many try to take over Christian chats, just for the joy of removing the Word of God from their midst. They will seduce a person into believing something other than the truth. They will then completely devour the person they have seduced into believing the lies they tell. Imagine a hungry lion, how he would devour a gazelle. The gazelle would have no chance unless something, or someone, mightier than the lion stepped in to help. We alone, are not mightier than the lion. Jesus is the one who is mightier than the lion. Jesus knows the way to victory. He has given us victory over the enemy. We must simply "claim the victory," according to the Word of God. The Word of God will not return void. It will always complete the purpose it was sent out for. Trust in God and not men. Confess to Him first, to men/women you trust, if you need to.

Prayer

Father God, I have written what I know to write here. I pray that this word touches the souls of those who need a touch. I pray a special prayer for those lost souls that hear this word. I pray that they are convicted of their sins that they might give their heart to you. Thank you Father for your holy Word that brings life to all who will accept you. In Jesus mighty and precious name, AMEN!!!

Good and caring word. We do need to be 'wise as a serpent, but harmless as a dove'

Sin grieves the Lord, maybe because of all the people it can effect. It exspecially effects us and throws us into that shamefull place and then Daddy comes a lookin for us, 'Adam! where are you'

just had you on my heart lately, so I came to read some of your hubs. Be blessed SirDent
