How Many True Gods are There?

Isa 45:21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.

Isa 45:22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

God has declared that there is only one God. Beside Him there is no other God. So how do so many people get it in their hearts that there are many, many Gods? How can they say that there are many different paths that are right? In this study we will look at the possibility of many Gods. We will look at creation and order.

Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

God is the Creator of all things seen and unseen. There is not one thing that was made that God did not make. Now lets see what would happen if there were many different Gods. Suppose I had a construction company. I had maybe 50 men working. We go to build a house. All my men are only bosses. Now who is the leader? This scenario would cause chaos. Chaos cannot be put in order without some type of help from outside of the chaos. According to other beliefs there could be as many as 3000 gods. Imagine 3000 people trying to create one thing together, and they're all bosses. Not one worker among them. How could they work together in this fashion?

It is impossible for all these different people to work together as they are all leaders. Each person has a different perspective on how things should be done. One wants this to be done that way another wants it the opposite way. This is how the gods of the world are. They are completely different from one another. They could not get along if they were real. There would be continuous chaos and absolutely no order. So does one god laugh at man for trying to figure things out, while another one tries to help man figure it out? Looking at the personality of all these "gods of the world" we can see that they are different. One says do whatever you want and you will be right. Another says do good and don't do evil and you will be fine. Another says use the sword to make people convert.

How many tell man that they should repent and ask for forgiveness for their sins? There is not one person alive on this earth that can say without lying that they have never ever sinned in their life. Sin is falling short of the glory of God. So how do we know this God that tells us to repent and be saved?

Joh 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

It takes a spiritual rebirth to be saved. This is the spirit of God and not the unclean spirits that are so plentiful in the earth. How does one become born again?

Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Accept Jesus for who He says he is. Believe on Him with all your heart.

Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Rom 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Confession is made unto salvation. This statement is an awesome statement. It takes a repentant heart and knowledge of sins with confession to be saved. God made this way so that any who will can find it easily.

Act 4:10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

Act 4:11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

Act 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

There is no other way beside Jesus Christ which was crucified for our sins. Imagine the pain and suffering He must have felt while being beaten so badly, and then having nails driven through His hands and feet. The pain is more than I could probably bare myself. But Jesus went through with it for your sins and mine. There is not one person that is alive, or ever has lived, that Jesus did not die for.

He died for every man woman and child. For we have all sinned and come short of the glory of God. It is time now to give your heart to Jesus. The day of salvation is here now as you read this. I know the Lord stands at the door and knocks, waiting for you to open up and let Him in. The time for decision is now upon you. Remember, your life depends on it.
