Maitreya: Ascended Master, False Messiah or Antichrist?

Introduction
Who is Maitreya? He has been called Lord, World Teacher, Buddha Maitreya. They say he is one of the Ascended Masters as Christ was an ascended Master. He is said to be the Messiah that Jews have been waiting to come. Hindus wait for Krishna and Muslims wait for Imam Mahdi.
I am going to attempt to show who he really is in this hub. I hope you enjoy reading this as we explore this man.
Maitreya has come to spread a message of peace to all the world. In and of itself, this sounds like a great thing to do. One must delve into God's Word to find out more about this so called peace.
1Th 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
We can see by the Word of God that when peace comes, sudden destruction comes soon after. Now we should know why this destruction comes right after peace.
Rev 6:2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
The white horse signifies righteousness. The first horseman will be an imitator of Christ. Just as Maitreya is an imitator of Christ, he will receive a crown and he will conquer by deceit.
The word of God again says,
2Th 3:16 Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.
Who is the Lord of peace? There is only one true Lord and that Lord is Jesus Christ.

Appearance and Teachings.
Of the many appearances made by Maitreya, only one appearance has been photographed and covered by any media. He appeared in Nairobi on June 11, 1988. The journalist who wrote the article is Job Mutungi. It is said that there is always a resident photographer (Francis Kaburu) at the meeting where Maitreya appeared.
The teachings of Maitreya on the surface seem to be very good teachings. He teaches love, peace, against drug abuse. Nobody can say that these are bad things to teach about, but there is more that he teaches. He teaches that all beliefs are right. Every religion should evolve, as he puts it, on its own at its own pace. Does this mean to let terrorists do whatever they want to whomever they choose to target?
He also teaches self realization. He says that the self alone matters. He says to be what you are. Does this mean to continue being a drug addict? Even though some of his teachings may seem right on the surface, deep down they are lies. This type of deceiver is the very worst kind.
Teachings of Jesus.
Mat 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
Mat 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Maitreya has never denied that Jesus was Christ. He actually says that Jesus was the Christ. This is only a part of the deception that is so dangerous. He uses partial truths and those truths seem to be right on target. Jesus taught more about this man and others similar to him.
Mat 24:23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
When someone says Christ is over here or over there, do not believe it. It is a lie from the very pits of hell. Satan is a deceiver and the father of deceivers. His mission is to steal kill and destroy. That's all he wants to do.
Mat 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Maitreya is a false Christ. His teaching is that as Jesus was Christ, he is also Christ. He has shown great signs and wonders to those he has appeared to. Many have been deceived and some have repented of their sins before him. He will lead these straight into hell. His teachings of peace and love will not hold up against the Word of God.
Near the end of the book of Revelation, Jesus made a statement.
Rev 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
You can read that it was Jesus who sent His angel. He says nothing about another master as many would have you to believe.

Christ's Return
According to God's Word Christ will return at an appointed time which no man knows nor can we know. He will not return as Maitreya showed up. Maitreya showed in in london and lives there still as far as I can find out. He seems to be hiding out in my opinion. When Jesus actually returns, the whole world will know it.
1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
A shout and the trump of God annoucing the arrival of the King of kings and Lord of lords will be heard all around the world. This wasn't heard when Maitreya appeared. ANother things to point out is the fact that Jesus was recieved into a cloud and the disciples were told that this same Jesus will return in like manner as you saw him go into heaven.
Act 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
It seems Maitreya didn't plan everything out so well as he thinks.
Closing
In the end Jesus is the one who shines. He is the only who shines actually. Maitreya is at the least false prophet and could possibly be the Antichrist. Personally in my opinion he is the forerunner for the Antichrist. Much like John the Baptist was the forerunner for Jesus. Maitreya is paving the way for the Antichrist and the new world order.
My advice to anyone who reads this hub is don't believe him if you happen to see him. Don't believe what he says and don't believe what he does. God;'s Word says that the false prophet will do signs and miracles in the sight of the beast. This shows that even Satan can do signs and wonders. There is only one Christ and His name is Jesus.
Satan was a deceiver from the very beginning. Even while in the garden of Eden he deceived Eve and caused death to come upon her and her descendants. He is subtle and very wise indeed.
Those who are saved by the grace of God should remain diligent and watchful. Listen to the Holy Ghost and do what he tells you to do or you may wind up being deceived also.

I believe in Jesus Christ and no one else. It is not written in the OT and NT. True that falxe christs can create little miracles.
Ex 7:10-12 states: "For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods."
Ex 7:22: "And the magicians of Egypt did so with their enchantments: and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, neither did he hearken unto them; as the Lord had said."
Ex 8:7: "And the magicians did so with their enchantments, and brought up frogs came up upon the land of Egypt."
Rev 16:14: "For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world,.."
Rev 19:20: "the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived that had the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image."

SirDent, I'm a New Ager myself, who finds her opinions of religion have changed tremendously over the years. While Satan is not a figure that I give any credence to, I have to tell you that I got goosebumps at the part where you wrote, "Maitreya is paving the way for the Antichrist and the new world order".
What a chilling and frightening concept that is.
That part you quoted Shirley is just my opinion. There was no revelation from God testifying to that fact. There will be more hubs to come soon that you may want to read also.

Is this person getting media attention? If so, I've evidently missed it. There are Spirit filled Christians who are operating in giftings such as healing and miracles who are ambassadors of (and heirs along with) the Lord Jesus Christ - truly his disciples....we don't see or hear much testimony in the mainstream media about these occurences either. I wish we did hear from those who give God all the glory and point people to Him.

The main thing is that we are ready for the Lord's return. So many words of these people sound true that if you are not careful to know what God has said you can be swayed. Where does it say that Satan was in the garden? Man ASSUMES that the serpant was "someone else". No where in the OT is Satan identified as malevolent.
All through the Bible Satan is shown to be a liar and deceiver. He is called the father of lies and the truth is not in him. Anyone who follows Satan follows a liar.
Most people in forums and such these days talk so much about the president of the US. They call him a liar and a murderer. They hate him and hate the fact that he is the president. They want him put out of office. But yet at the same time they would rather serve Satan and follow what he says. Makes no sense to me, but I am not everyone else either.

Seems pretty simple and easy to understand to me. The New Age say the same thing. It says you are God.

There is more that shows what he became becauseof his own iniquity. Let's see exactly what "iniquity" really was in the Old Testament.

OK. The Zec verse is not a very 'damning' piece, is it? Satan is there to 'resist'; the NIV uses the word "accuse". Accuse of what? To accuse Zechariah of sin! A charge for which he is guilty! 3:4 "...See, I have taken away your sin..." Satan was serving as Prosecutor in court.
As to the second one, giving Job boils? Didn't biblegod give Satan permission to do ANYTHING? (Except kill Job, that is.) If boils is malevolence, then biblegod was malevolent to the Egyptians. Even to the nice ones. Of course, boils is a walk in the park compared to the death of the firstborn yadda yadda.

Being a Hindu I feel the concept of anti-christ could be linked to the concept of great evil(even in Indian scriptures lots of mention of this) to end which the real lord descends. Informative hub.

I agree with Aeman A. Us free-willed human individuals are all equal before god and before angels, no matter what it is what we pretend before other humans.
And it's them, the angels, who we should want as our teachers and guidance, not some humans who have themselves called ascended masters pretending to be our teachers while they're not and who are actually abusing their god-given freedom before us.

Very good article. I've been doing research myself, and this person fits the discription of the "angel of light" from the chapter of "The Impending Conflict" from the book, "The Great Controversy". As for JhoWhi and Aemon, I find their comments interesting, especially about free will which is a gift of love from God. But I'd be careful about gettin teachings from Angels as one third of them are fallen (according to Revelation). Maitreya's teaching is the same as the first lies in the Garden of Eden. If you eat from the fruit you will #1 not die (the lie that we are immortal...only God is immortal, and #2 we will be as God (or in other words Gods ourselves). Both of those ideas promote a life without a need for God. In reality we need God for LIFE! Good research SirDent. Keep up the good work.

Why does our society keep searching for a supposed antichrist? The answer is before our eyes. We as a whole are our own so called antichrist. We destroy ourselves, others, free thought, mind, individualism.

Wow, a very strong message there. I have not known or heard of this man before but the teachings that he is teaching sounds fake to me. I'm a very religious person and I strongly believe that every man, every religion is equal, noone is greater then one another as long as we have faith in something, something that we believe in as God. That was one of the best hubs that I have read and thank you for spreading the message.
