The God Who Never Fails

This is my mother. Not sure when it was taken but she has passed on to the next life. God never failed her at all though she had failed many times.

Introduction

The Bible declares that in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. God was here before time began, therefore, God transcends time. Many believe that God is the cause of the failures of man. God saw that everything he created was good. This included man. God is the God who never fails.

Men have failed at everything they have set their hearts to do. Adam failed in the Garden of Eden. Imagine being in paradise, wanting and needing nothing, yet for some reason, he failed. Man has not been able to make things right since his first failure. So what is man to do if he cannot make things right?

Since man was unable to fix what he had broken, God took it upon Himself to make things right. I believe that if God has an actual need for anything, it is to fix what is broken.

God made a way for man to be reconciled back to Himself. That way is through the blood and sacrifice of Jesus Christ. When the Israelites were in Egypt, God sent the death angel to show His power. He ordained that those who had the blood of a firstborn lamb on their doorposts and lintels, that death would pass them by. This was the only way to be saved from the agony of death.

The Bible also proclaims that God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son. God could have just destroyed everything and everyone, but he did not because of the love He has for mankind. Jesus Christ is the Son of God and was given to us and we ended up rejecting Him.

The Bible also proclaims that now is the day of salvation. It is time to turn to Jesus now. There is no promise of tomorrow for anyone. Just think on these things as you read my poem.

In all that we do, we fail, but God never fails. He is faithful to those who love Him and seek after Him.

A song by the band I play bass guitar in. The lead singer is the writer of this song.

The God Who Never Fails

Men fail at every turn while pursuing the breeze

Longing to fulfill desires to be enlightened

Sinking into the abyss their minds they appease

Peering into the darkness they become frightened

Blind leading the blind and falling into the pit

Piled up in heaps a magnitude of impurity

Too abundant in arrogant pride to admit

Their knowledge is limited in their self purity

Deception and lies are for their amusement

Thievery and adultery become their joy

They refuse to go the way the Lord Jesus went

Condemnation is theirs because sin they enjoy

Man was created in the image of the Almighty

And in His likeness, from the dust of the earth

The creature fell from grace. . . missed out on eternity

God, through the blood of Jesus, authored the rebirth

Though a multitude will try in their flesh so weak

Their minds so full of evolutionary tales

At death their journeys will end and then they will speak

King of kings, Lord of lords, the God who never fails.

I admire your dedication, SirDent. Commitment is a rare commodity these days, to anything. So props to you. It was cool to hear you play in that band. I've seen you around HP for a long time, listening/watching that video added nicely to the accretion of my Internet-based understanding of you, the actual human. I hoist a beer in your general direction, wishing you luck in the poetry contest. :)

Hello Shadesbreath. I am glad you enjoyed listening to our group. I hope you enjoyed the poem.

It is hard for me to be committed to something that is not real. I know most people don't understand what it means to serve God. Many don't believe He is real. I get that. I used to be one of them. God is more real to me than almost every person I ever met. He never puts on a mask, He always tells the truth even if I don't want to hear it.

I have been on HubPages for almost 4 years now. I have seen many good authors come and go and many bad ones also. I have fought in the forums and even put my foot in my mouth a few times, but I have to keep going no matter what. Sorry if this comment seems like a hub. LOL Sometimes I just don't know when to stop.

Thanks for the read and comment. It is greatly appreciated. :)

Naw, don't apologize, man. The beauty of all of this is that you remain true to yourself. Unlike so many fleeting HP characters, you are stalwart in your beliefs. It's awesome. You are a great flavor in the HP buffet.

Hi again Shadesbreath. It just seemed like I was droning on and on in my previous comment. It wasn't as bad as I thought. All is well. :)

You know, reading this brings to mind the many exchanges we have had in the past. To make it short, the title is exactly right. But as soon as you speak of weak man being the writer of his eternal destiny, I can't help but remember the hypocracy in your belief system.
