The Real Church

Introduction
There are many different churches in the world today. There are churches that say it is ok to be drunks, drug addicts, homosexuals, and a multitude of other sins which are against God. Holiness and righteousness are a thing of the past it seems. The church today has gotten away from the Word of God and have adopted things of the world, which is totally against God. We do not hear His voice anymore but we (in general) hear and heed the voice of Satan. If you want to find a church that will preach only that which you want to hear and says everything is OK, you can find one.
God of Wonders
Holiness
Heb 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
The above scripture declares that we cannot see the Lord without holiness. We must follow after Christ in order to be holy. We must do what He commanded us to do. We must live a life above what the world lives. We are a peculiar people set apart from everyone else. We cannot live our lives in sin and be holy.
Heb 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
We must cast away all things that hold us back from getting close to God. He cannot speak to us in a small still voice if we are distant from Him. A good example of a still small voice is a whisper. I cannot whisper to someone who is 20 feet away and them hear what I say. It can only be heard and understood if it is whispered into their ear. This is what God wants from us. He wants us to be close enough to Him that He is able to whisper into our ears. Then we can know for sure that we understand what God speaks to us. We have gotten to the point that we want to live as close to the world as possible, but still say we are close to God.
Once we have cast away the weights that hold us back, there will be some things that we must pick up. Jesus tells us to pick up our cross and follow Him. If we do not pick up our cross we may as well stay where we are. There will be other things to pick up along the way. We must pick up fruits of the spirit and use them. They will not all come at once, but they will all come at certain points in our walk if we are obedient to God.
Indescribable
Wieghts of the world
Not everything that we have to lay down are sins. There are times we
must lay down the very thing that we love and desire the most in our
lives. We can go back to the book of 1Samuel and see how a woman named
Hannah prayed asking the Lord for a son because her womb was shut. (1Sa
1:10 And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and
wept sore. 1Sa 1:11 And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if
thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember
me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a
man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life,
and there shall no razor come upon his head. ) Her desire to give birth
to a son was so great that she was vexed in her soul. Her countenance
was sad. She promised the Lord that if He gave her a son she would
bring him back to the temple and leave him there to be a servant of
the Lord. The son was not a sin she had to lay down, but he would be
something she had desired more than anything else. Is there something
that you promised to the Lord that you didn't give back? I know that I
have made promises that I didn't keep. I am sure we all have at some
point in our lives. It is now time to start making good on those
promises if possible.
To live in holiness we must simply get close to God. It is like an
intimate relationship between a husband and a wife. Intimacy is not
about sexual relations. It is about knowing your wife or husband. You
know what your spouse likes. You know the types of food he or she eats.
You know the types of clothes they wear, the things they like to do.
When you truly get into an intimate relationship with God, you will be
able to see into God as he sees into you. Your thoughts will be God's
thoughts. His heart will be visible to you and you will know who He
really is.
Rev 22:11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is
filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be
righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
Lately there are a lot of arguments on HubPages. What kind of witness
is arguing? The Word says to let the unjust be unjust and let those
that are filthy remain in their filth. If you are holy, then be holy
and remain that way. We are called to spread the Word of God. Once the
Word has been made known we should leave it as it is and let it do it's
work. If we continue to rail against unbelievers, we are doing damage
to the credibility of the Lord and we become a reproach to His name.
Can't Even Walk
Conclusion
Let us work in all diligence only that which the Lord has called us to do. If we overstep the bounds set by the Lord, we are in essence saying that we know better than God does. We then become as fools who know nothing, but think we know everything.

nice writing,,,,alot of things a person really needs to think about,,,thanks for sharing
yes sciantel i like when people are straight forward to me,,,but some can be just a bit pushy when they preach and that tends to turn people off and not listen,,,,,,,
"There will be other things to pick up along the way. We must pick up fruits of the spirit and use them. They will not all come at once, but they will all come at certain points in our walk if we are obedient to God".

Nicely done SirDent...We are made in His Image and are human...so sins are a part of life's journey...not huge one's but are still part of it...and we each will learn to deal with it one at a time...encouragement is a grand thing and I see you have such a kind heart...and is very nice...
Also the video's were good I liked the Indescribable the best...Thanks for sharing...:O) Hugs
My brother SirD. I love you much and you know it. I agree with you. Only problem I have is that there is fine line between conviction of sin and judgment. How we can convict people in the name of truth when it is job of Holy Spirit? How to balance it with love? I seen on camera, people come and say: you are the sinner. Did you ever steal something? It means you are the thief...My problem is they do not bring Jesus but law to the man. I think we have to bring Jesus and introduce Him to them. To bring the law means bring the religion, since we cannot keep the low no matter how we try. Ga-Ma said fruit of the spirit and G-Pa agree.
We do not like corrections. But please correct me and visit if I am wrong.
Thumbs up and ditto. Our lives must reflect Jesus Christ.
Hi SirDent and family of God, Jesus is the holy One who makes us holy in God's sight. God's grace keeps us from being bound to the law (which some men count to holiness). Grace does not give us a license to sin as is written in Jude 1:4 "For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord."
To balance the understanding of holiness through the grace of Christ, we first need to look at Romans 7:16-20 "But if I do the very thing I do not want to do, I agree with the Law, confessing that the Law is good. So now, no longer am I the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me. For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not. For the good that I want, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want. But if I am doing the very thing I do not want, I am no longer the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me."
Romans 7:24 "Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death [sin]?"
The answer is found in 2 Timothy 1:8-10 "So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God, who has saved us and called us to a holy life--not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel."
I know the Spirit of God just recently taught me (as I've written in my recent hubs) about contending with those of another gospel. Praise God, we don't have to. I am humbled to know I was unknowingly "sinning" in spending so long with them, but I do pray the Word's work continues though I left them. I no longer contend unless the Spirit says so and I leave when He says so, and now without guilt! Their fate is not on my hands, praise God!
God bless you and His ministry through you!
Praise, The Lord Sir Dent, Jesus said in Matt 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God! That is so Beautiful to me My Lord Jesus Speaks of such Wonderful Things Amen Thank you for this Hub Sir Dent the Church in some place's are full of the Flesh of this World. As you said it within this hub. Keep Standing on the Promises of God! Amen
great hub sir d. the book says be ye holy as I am holy. It is not our holiness but His that shines through us, which won't shine if we are dulled by sin. Each day we put on the mind of Christ and armor of God. Let this mind be in you which is also in Christ Jesus. Each day, moment by moment we deny oureselves the sin our flesh wants. If we should sin we stop it and confess it. 1 John 1:9 Thanks be to God for His wondrous grace. Love ya bud.
I love Romans 3:30! There seems to be a movement of deception in the church going on ~ to bring them back into the bondage of the law. God forbid, and God be praised! We are holy in Him alone! We need to be praising God constantly for what He has done for us! Hallelujiah!
Thank you for publishing such a great Hub. I am guilty of arguing vehemently to defend the faith against the very things you discuss in your introduction. I enjpoyed your words and I am humbled.
Its a good thing we are all not the same. God can use all our personalities to get His awesome words out to people.
I completely agree with you my brother Sir D. Sin will kill. I want to point on the fact we should be righteousness orientated rather than sin orientated. I hope I am clear now. I remember I was praying and singing in the spirit and found that I was not aware of sin at that time. I taught I can extend this time and be more free from sin. See we cannot do two things the same time, except let say watching good teaching video and praising the Lord. :-). Again thank you for good hub.
Great hub again, you have sum good hubs! Im glad you believe in being Holy and set apart for the Lord because that is what Holy means and what cause us to be able live a life pleasing unto Him. God bless ya
amen, great page happy to meet you all and blessings, for me the word is about balance and the bible is total,it seems i get to a level of intimacy with the lord and one of two things happen..i grieve the spirit and lose the intimacy or i keep moving on to a deeper level, two steps foward and sometimes one back ( im not there yet)everyone will have to wait a little while to see jesus through me. sometimes i feel that the balance swings a little too far in some church circles to a dooctorine of all the benifits, yes he loves us and if we believe in our hearts we are saved,
Sir Dent,
I am grateful for this and many of your other writing's.
I found myself in a situation recently that Jesus shined through as he always will if we allow Him to and not shut Him out.
My prayer is that as the body of Christ, Jesus is more and we are less that other people see that in our lives without us even speaking a word. Then they will desire and want to know what is is that is so different about us that they would seek and find for themselves, Jesus.
Then may we share the Word that would bring them to the Lord and there journey would begin and as they grow in the Lord, they will pray it forward.
You forgot the churches that say its ok to be a glutton. you know i have a big problem with people who are obviously way overweight telling us that homosexuals are going to hell. Its hypocritical. But im sure you wont approve this coment. It shows how small minded you are. A "sin" does not necesarilly dam you to hell. Otherwise there would be no fat people in heaven. So go on preaching. Dont let any cookie crumbs fall into your bible, though. Remember, your not supposed to add anything to the good book.
Do not ever tell me that I fall into the catagory of people trying to tear the church down. That is a seriously judgemental thing to say to someone of whome you have read one paragraph. I agree with you. If you are a christian with no fait how can you please god? But what pleasure is God getting out of you pointing your finger at everyone elses sins? I see your profile picture, and it seems to me that you are overweight. You dont think your gluttinous nature is seperating you from God? I am not trying to offend you, but Jesus himself said "ye who is without sin cast the first stone." And you have a handful of stones my friend. You should really think about putting them down, and going to think about your own relationship with God, not everyone elses. You can't just accept Christ and then go around pointing out everyones flaws, I don't believe that it is very christian. My faith, which you probably believe to be of the devil because of the mere fact that i disagree with you, is one of living your life to its absolute greatness, and leaving others alone. Why do you say nerely everyone wants to tear down the church? What about my comment upset you? The fact that your obviously a hypocrite? Look, I dont know you, but your article did not seem to relay the concern you have for others. It did not seem to come from a loving heart. To me, it seemed to come from a place of "your all living wrong, and your going to hell." Who are you to decide? How can you tell someone who was born feeling like they are attracted to the same sex that they are going to hell? What if everything else thay do is perfect? Does that still damn them? I just feel like there are people out there who maskarade as do gooders, but really they just want to make the rest feel bad about their lives. The church has to change with the changes of the world. Because the world is evolving more and more everyday. As things people change, we adapt. Im sorry, but some of the things you wrote upset me, and i dont think im the only one.
"Jesus loves you" Is the last thing christians say to piss you off. I read the entire article. And dont think i made a mistake by calling you judgemental and a hypocrite. you can be both, you know. The world has hurt me deeply? Where do you get that? I am not some hurt bunny upset at god for making life suck. I think for myself. I recognize b.s. when i see it. Did you actually read my comment? Because i touched on everything in your reply to me. I also touched on things you stated in your article. But your right, put this argument to bed. I am not "mocking" any one, and i am certainly not "mocking" the christian religeon. Just those who fit it to suit their own comfortablility.
Good stuff! I agree. The church should not evolve with the world. It should become more involved with the world.

Our Lord God is Holy. He loves us but He wants us to repent of our sins, not make excuses to remain in them. I agree 100 percent and am not ashamed to preach it myself. Not enough churches are willing to tell people the truth. Even my own sister is against me for being so forward and bold about the fact we all sin and must come to repentence!
